// order in chaos // the 2025 vibe shift and the new era of 2026 (hi again)

Hi again ♥️ it’s been a minute.

As is likely the case for everyone I’ve had huge life changes since my last sessions in 2019, and though I haven’t been active through this platform I’ve certainly been deeply engaged with the astrology both formally and informally.

As is likely abundantly clear to anyone, we are now living through a massive paradigm shift. The structural collapse that began with the Pluto-Saturn conjunction in 2020 (you can read what I wrote about that transit in July of 2019, it’s aged like fine wine 🤌) has now progressed to its next phase, and we are now seeing ample evidence of the new paradigms taking shape.

I have always found astrology to be a helpful lens through which events both macro and micro events can be viewed; rather than providing a value judgement on the transits or impacts themselves, I find astrology most useful as a source of context, as well as a roadmap to help guide and plan when major events unfold. It was knowledge of the Pluto-Saturn conjunction in January 2020 that informed me that the arrival of the novel virus was not going to be a short-lived blip on the radar, but would be a major transformational event for the world, and to make decisions accordingly.

There’s a ton - a ton - of astrology happening right now…as above, so below. And as a few past clients have reached out recently in light of very understandable major life changes, I thought now would a good time to extend the reach of the insights that are available. As I mention below, I had initially planned to do this last December knowing the scale of major astrological changes ahead, but the chaos vibe of the forecast wouldn’t give me a clear read, and I honestly gave up. And indeed, here we are living through what can perhaps best be described as chaos.

// readings are open //

I know everyone is facing tremendous change, and tons of very icky and uncomfortable uncertainty and anxiety about the future…the current Pisces pileup is largely responsible for that. If a reading or consult of any kind would help, I’m opening up 60-minute Refresh Readings of any kind or topic for 139-, as well as a new Single Question recorded offering for 59-. Details and bookings are available here.

Also in the works is an in-depth 2026 forecast for each sign, as well as new Journey Guides for the signature transits defining this new era, starting with Saturn in Aries next year. My goal is to have those available by mid-December. Until then, I’m going to provide as much support as possible here. Let’s stay in touch.

// astrological slop //

I actually sat down to write a forecast for 2025 in December of last year. I must have started and restarted a dozen times or more.

It was incredibly clear to anyone with a basic understanding of astrology that on paper 2025 was going to be one for the books. The scale and intensity of 2025’s energies was clearly on par with 2020, albeit with a completely different tone and character.

But when I started parsing out themes and putting together a cohesive narrative, the project completely fell apart. 2020 had a loud, clear signal of heaviness, self-preservation and major, era-defining challenges (and opportunities) to overcome. But 2025 just looked…bananas? There were trends, sure, but they were frenetic, weird, inconsistent and overlapping. It was like an orchestra tuning before a concert, just all noise and no melody. The clearest signal that kept coming through for the year was just a jumbled, sloppy mess of “too much”. It was just too much. It was gross, honestly. I left it alone.

Ten months later this now makes total sense…2025 has been *a lot*. The change has been unrelenting, extreme, often confusing but always challenging. Even if the changes in your life have been overwhelmingly net positive - as I sure hope they have been for you - it’s highly likely that your nervous system has been stretched to its limits at some point and you could just use a nap. So many people in my own life are otherwise stable but express deep fatigue and the need for a break from the constant noise and chaos. In other cases life may be objectively challenging, confronting constant physical threats, fear, loss, and scarcity. We all may have experienced episodes of deep grief, disorientation, and sadness thus far this year, juxtaposed against moments of elation, community and divine intervention. Hopefully so. But in all it’s just been…too much.

I have always likened predictive or “mundane” astrology to a weather forecast; it can only tell you what the prevailing conditions are, but the actions you take or don’t take in response to that forecast are ultimately up to you. If you know a storm is coming, you can prepare in advance….likewise, if you know it’s going to be a beautiful weekend you can make plans to be with friends, plant a garden, or simply enjoy yourself.

The astrology of 2025, which will carry into 2026 is not any more inherently “good” or “bad” than any other transits, but that’s also not entirely the point. Traditionally “good” aspects or placements won’t magically change your life if you don’t take any action; likewise, traditionally challenging or “bad” aspects or placements can only cause disruption when you aren’t prepared to deal with them. Some of the most powerful periods of change and transformation often happen under otherwise challenging aspects. With preparation, positive outcomes are possible under both conditions, and ultimately, the impacts of any transit will depend heavily on your own individual natal chart.

That being said, the signal that 2025 is here to deliver is now clear…this year marked the beginning - through an undeniable series of endings - of a new chapter that’s unfolding for us over the next decade plus, one that’s giving a very clear signature for at least the next 3-5 years: you must change now.

// what got you here won’t get you there //

The early months of the year were a continuation of the chaos and endings from late 2024, but if you noticed a vibe shift around June/July you were not wrong…the summer months of 2025 gave us a brief preview of the energy signature driving the tremendous paradigm shift that will shape 2026 and beyond, made up of the following placements and aspects:

  • // sleepy pisces —> militant aries // Neptune and Saturn, having just spent ~12 and ~3 years respectively in sleepy, dreamy, and often delusional Pisces, a sign co-ruled by Neptune and Jupiter, made a rather whiplash entry into Aries, a sign ruled by Mars. Neptune=dissolution, fantasy, and fuzzy boundaries, Mars=war, military, the masculine, energy systems. I think that’s self-explanatory from what we’ve seen in this brief preview. Saturn is also considered to be in “fall” in Aries, being opposite Libra, its sign of exaltation, which will provide additional “texture” to this transit and conjunction next year.

  • // change on rollerskates // Uranus, having just spent 7+ years in earthy, slow-moving, and Venus-ruled Taurus, entered the cerebral, often frenetic, and Mercury-ruled sign of Gemini. Change but on uppers and rollerskates.

  • // the technosphere // Connecting both of these planets in what’s known as a petit grand trine configuration is transformational Pluto, newly in air sign and ruler of technology Aquarius after spending 14 years deconstructing governments and structures in earth sign Capricorn.

While this is undeniably the main astrological story for 2025 and 2026, and one that comes with tremendous positive potential, a number of other challenging placements and aspects earlier this year, including retrogrades of both Mars and Venus in really challenging signs, and Saturn’s square to a fallen Jupiter in Gemini for the first six months of the year, led to a solidly chaotic, messy, and exhausted feel to late 2024 and early 2025.

It’s likely that though you’ve seen change happening all around you, maybe even some of it positive, gaining a solid foothold or choosing what direction to take has likely been challenging (this is especially true for any planets in Libra, Leo, and Pisces, which haven’t had a break for a hot minute). You may have spent all year in crisis or response mode, working tirelessly to respond to constant disruption, but with very little to show for your efforts (mutable signs, especially Virgos, could really be feeling this). Or you could be navigating the dissolution of a previous dream, goal, or life paradigm, but lacking a clear vision or understanding of what comes next, essentially leaving you in a state of functional freeze (Scorpio, Capricorn, Taurus and Pisces could really be going through it here). All of us have had to deal with the Pisces pileup (Saturn, Neptune, and North Node) that has created incredible suffering in the collective, clouded and obscured our shared sense of reality through AI slop and deepfakes, made escapism, retreat, and psychic boundaries a survival mechanism, and given rise to the general “crashout” vibe of 2025.

Before I tell you this next part, I want you to remember the caveat about astrology only providing weather conditions…a storm can be hugely beneficial if you’ve been under drought conditions or there are wildfires burning. But you still need to be prepared.

The challenges of 2025 are something of a prelude to a chapter that’s going to run from 2026 through 2030 or so, that will present entirely new opportunities vis a vis challenges of a very different nature and temperament than the ones we faced under the 2018-2024 heavy earth/water setup. These challenges are going to demand more action, more change, and more innovation, but have the potential to liberate and transform your life in entirely new ways.

// you must change now //

In brief, this is how we face these new challenges, starting right now:

  1. You must change…adaptation is necessary. Soon, now. This is unlikely to be small in magnitude, but subtle shifts now could be all that’s needed to set larger changes into motion. Saturn and Neptune in Aries over the summer gave us a preview of this new energy over the summer, but both have since (or will soon) slip back into Pisces until February. This gives us a brief respite to plan and prepare before their conjunction establishes a new cycle in February of 2026. Take this time now to make changes where necessary so you’re ready and resilient when the tempo increases and the tone changes again starting in February.

  2. We all need to actively start imagining new paradigms and structures both individually and collectively as the previous structures will no longer be supported and have been or will be removed. Energetically we can see this everywhere. Unless you have strong Cancer or a Capricorn in your chart, many of the big challenges of 2020-2024 were likely ones that affected you though other people or collective-level events only…you were just along for the ride. 2026 will demand main character energy from all of us. The added benefit of the current delulu vibes from Saturn, Neptune and the North Node in Pisces is that this energy dissolves any semblance of stability or structure, not for the purpose of making us crazy, but to create space for us to imagine new possibilities, But very soon you, I, we need to take take action to actively create these new structures, *not* just fight against the old. Pisces/Neptune gave us the luxury (illusion?) to just sit back and observe as life dissolved around us…Aries/Saturn/Neptune will not. This new energy will demand action, courage, and leadership wherever this energy falls in your chart. This is applicable to both macro and micro scales, both in our daily lives as well as the collective.

  3. How to get back to that “lucky girl” soft life of the Pisces-Taurus era? The sooner you embrace discomfort and change now, the sooner a new version of stability, ease, abundance and comfort will emerge. The planets are extremely supportive in this respect for the next ~2 years, but this is a tough-love type of support that may not feel warm and cozy…yet. Neptune in Pisces let us live in a perpetual dream state. Neptune in Aries, alongside Saturn in 2026, will demand we get up and get moving in order to get what we want. Move or be moved. Uranus in Gemini will force us to embrace new mental models and communication styles, as should be abundantly clear by now. And Pluto in Aquarius will challenge our networks, both digital and IRL, forcing us to reinvent how we connect. Positive outcomes are possible for everyone from these aspects, but first we have to give up the illusion of ease that the Pisces-Taurus era gave us and learn new ways to create and receive.

The time to prepare is now

The petit grand trine between these outer planets in Aries, Gemini and Aquarius that will define 2026 and beyond is ultimately a positive one that will bring us innovation, liberation from outdated expectations and restrictions, along with expansion and massive progress, but it will be present in a wildly different energetic signature than that of the past few years (if that isn’t already obvious). It will feel active, energized, and social, while also holding the potential to be confrontational, frenetic, and overzealous. It will be cerebral and intellectual rather than emotive and fluid. It will elevate ideas and radicals rather than structures, builders, and nurturers.

// 2026: the new era //

How this affects each sign and each chart will be different, but we can all count on a few main trends and energies affecting all of us in some way:

  • // offence vs defence // at least for this first chapter, a healthy sense of defence will be essential. The Saturn-Neptune conjunction in Aries next February has strong signatures of aggression…all things martial will be emphasized. If you don’t intend to go on the offence, you need to have a plan for playing defense, but we will all experience the interplay of these dynamics wherever Aries falls in our chart.

  • // resilience // Pluto in Aquarius promises intense, relentless disruption over the next two decades, and we all need to consider what systems of resilience we need to build in preparation. Pluto in Capricorn was relentless but almost too slow to be perceptible; the flavor of change promised by Pluto in Aquarius, emboldened by connections to the other outer planets, will be fast and frenetic. Start a resilience inventory now: what new networks do you need to build? What networks do you need to disconnect from? Note that physical networks such as electricity and supply chains will be impacted here…plan accordingly.

  • // curiosity as survival stragety // It’s going to feel like a lot, but there’s so much positive potential from these transits…you really can have anything you want during this next chapter, but you have to maintain an open mind to receive it. How can curiosity help you solve for some of the challenges you face? How can new mental models and mindsets serve as a source of both resilience and initiative?

In the same vein, all of us have something we need to release before heading into the next chapter. In my own practice I’ve been using these questions to help confront shadows and resistance around the change that I know is needed in my own life:

Where are you gripping or exerting control out of fear?
Where are you ignoring obvious signs and signals that change is needed?
Where is fear or a lack mindset blocking you from change?
In what areas of your life do you need to build reinforcements in order to ensure security and resilience?

// the next chapter, by sign//

As we start to navigate this new chapter and these new energies, allowing the questions below to inform and guide your transformation will help provide a point of focus as our current reality fades out and paradigms shift. Remember you are far more than just a sun sign, and I would recommend reading for at least you sun, moon, and rising to get an idea for the key themes you’ll be playing with in 2026. Reading for your Venus sign will provide color into how your values and finances might be impacted. And knowing the impacts on your Mars sign will be an interesting point of contrast given the heavy Mars/Aries signature we’re working with 2026. As always, we can go deeper in a reading together

// 2025 asks so 2026 (and beyond) can answer //

// aries// What if you directed all of your strength towards elevating others, or in service of something larger than yourself, and then trusted others to elevate you in exchange, showing you who you can be when you’re in community instead of always operating as a lone wolf? You don’t always have to go it alone. Curiosity about how siblings and your local community shape your friendships and group identity could provide clues. Hidden bonus: letting your freak flag fly during this next chapter, whatever that means for you, might actually be the key to unlocking massive generational wealth.

// taurus// What if you trusted your innate sense of leadership and became the boss/leader/visionary you actually wanted and needed, releasing a deep fear of your own power that you may have learned in childhood? Curiosity about new ways to monetize your ideas, your value, and building your self-worth through community could provide clues. Hidden bonus: zaddy energy is in play…you could end up on either the giving or receiving end of a totally inappropriate but totally satisfying encounter with a boss or other power dynamic. Just know that there are no secrets anymore, so only get in as much trouble as you know you can get out of. You’re also looking at a significant increase in income once you let go of your comfort zone, which is the hardest thing you’ll ever do.

// gemini // What if you made new rules instead of following the ones your friends, parents or the cool kids at school told you you should follow? Curiosity (which is your special power Gemini) about reinventing your own identity and how you show up in group settings could provide clues. Hidden bonus: you of all the signs stand to benefit the most from these changes…you can see the blueprint in these trends and know how to make the most of it. A Libra may have other insights that can help (you also may just have a ton of fun together).

// cancer // What if you recognized and trusted your own instincts as your ultimate source of power and wealth, rather than outsourcing your value to people you’ve been taught to assign power to? Curiosity around how old belief systems tied to outdated paradigms of power are subconsciously informing your decision-making could provide clues. Also: don’t be surprised if you trigger a lot of insecurities in the unhealed people around you over the coming year…that means you’re doing things correctly. Hidden bonus: are you maybe Taurus’s zaddy? There’s super steamy energy here, just make sure you’re receiving as much as you’re giving.

// leo // What if developing the deep understanding that comes from direct experience, rather than just abstract academic concepts, is what you need to become a better leader? Curiosity around new social groups and communities (possibly online) tied to innovative educational systems could provide clues. Hidden bonus: You stand to gain a tremendous amount of power through your relationships, but that may first require a complete restructuring. Be aware of not repeating old power dynamics from childhood in your one-on-one relationships.

// virgo // What if working in service of developing your own sense of power, meeting your own wants and needs, was the most powerful and effective way to also serve others? Curiosity around new ideas for career and leadership tied to self-empowerment, finances, or shared resources could provide clues (a Scorpio could be helpful here). Hidden bonus: if you handle your shit you can make more money and have more seggs than any other sign (except maybe Cancer). But you have to handle your shit first. You also have the potential for a massive, epic glow up, so get to the gym now. Go.

// libra // What if you just made it fun instead of always being super serious, and watched who in your life showed up differently for you? (I don’t know why but I feel like Libras have the potential to actually have a ton of fun right now, maybe with Gemini? once they say F it all, and good on them.) Curiosity around new forms of self-expression and new boundaries in partnership could provide clues.  An Aquarius could provide guidance here. Hidden bonus: of all the signs, you have the potential to unlock incredible freedom, liberation, and overall levity once you face some hard decisions. This looks like luck and joy returning after a number of years clearing some very tough karmic patterns. New relationships can completely restructure your life. Enjoy Libra.

// scorpio // What if you put your head down, put your blinders on to the chaos and distractions around you, and got to work creating the life, family, and home you’ve always wanted since childhood, rather than taking the seemingly easier route of only playing a supporting role in the life of those around you? Curiosity around how you can make transformation, self-empowerment, and main character energy part of your daily practice could provide clues (a Virgo could be helpful here). Hidden bonus: honestly, you’re going to be so so cozy. You’re going to be loved up and cozy in a way that makes you feel truly relaxed, all while you actively build a real estate or home-based empire (baby making and family building is also a possibility here). But it’s going to take work, so start now Scorpio.

// sagittarius // What if you said what you actually wanted to say, and waited for new, better friends and followers to appear, instead of always self-censoring for the perceived benefit of others? Curiosity around new, innovative partnerships tied to children, inner-child healing, or self-expression could provide clues. Hidden bonus: relationships that have been stale or unsatisfying can either be reinvigorated or transformed now Saj. Once you start speaking up with more clarity and intention you’re going to start meeting people that reflect the real you, not just the version of yourself that kept others happy. Enjoy the transformations that happen when you let your hair down and find your true people.

// capricorn // What if you actually valued what *you* wanted, maybe what you’ve wanted since childhood, as much as you value what you think others think you should want? You’re a grownup, you can do what you want now. Curiosity around new ways to revitalize your daily life while maintaining supportive and healing boundaries around home and family could provide clues. Hidden bonus: you might end up with a real estate empire, maybe with Scorpio? You’re putting your signature hard work into building a really cozy nest for yourself, and honestly you deserve it Capricorn. Remember to do what you do best and practice healthy boundaries and over time you should see the safe nest you’ve always wanted materialize.

// aquarius // What if you put as much faith in yourself to create the life you want as you have in the brand or identity you’re trying to uphold or convey? Curiosity around innovative new ways to communicate, educate, and network could provide clues. Hidden bonus: the universe is giving you the green light to act on all of the crazy ideas you’ve always had, just remember the laws of karma still apply, and what goes up must come down. Make sure you’re building on a solid foundation. Otherwise: green light means go.

// pisces // What if the way to get what you’ve always wanted is just to relax and trust it’s all going to work out instead of constantly demanding proof and positive feedback from the world and those around you? Curiosity around how your home and early childhood influences might be informing your value system and sense of self-worth could provide clues. Hidden bonus: there’s a huge pile of cash waiting for you Pisces, just know it’s not at the end of a rainbow. It comes from valuing yourself enough to know you’re worth more than old versions of yourself might allow, and embracing new ways of working, living and earning.

// coming soon: AI, the technosphere, and Pluto in Aquarius //

For those old enough to remember 2007, this was the year Pluto began it’s ~16 year transit of  Capricorn. Capricorn rules big business, corporations, fathers, things that patriarchal society generally assigns power over us, and you could sure see those signatures in the chaos this transit ushered in.

It’s hard to remember given that big tech is absolutely dominating our lives and our world today, but all of the current tech companies, today the world’s most massive and powerful representations of “big business”, were tiny if nonexistent in 2007…the largest, most powerful companies in the world at that time were oil companies (Chevron, Shell, etc.) and US banks (JP Morgan, Bank of America). The 2008 market crash, a product of excessive and unmitigated speculation driven by the Pluto in Sagittarius era, started a cascading effect that would create the conditions for these legacy businesses to collapse, and be replaced by a new crop of “startups” that would then go on to become the world’s most powerful companies near the end of this transit in 2023/2024.

Pluto is the planet of power, and it gains power through cycles of death and transformation; you never come out the same on the other end of a Pluto transit, but you likely come out permanently transformed, and hopefully stronger. Resistance is futile; like Bear Stearns and Lehman Brothers in the wake of the 2008 crash, anything that lacks solid foundations will not survive a Pluto transit. Those that are well-resourced, resilient and adaptable can weather the storm will emerge stronger, as JP Morgan did and has done many times over as the perennial buyer of distressed banking assets over the past 15 years.

Pluto in Capricorn did not eliminate big business; if anything tech companies have more power now than banks and oil companies ever did. But near the beginning of this transit from 2007-2010, it sure felt like business was dying…which it was, but only so it could be replaced with something different. This is the signature of a Pluto transit.

We are in a similar moment now with Pluto in Aquarius, having just entered this new sign in 2024 after spending ~16 years in Capricorn. Aquarius rules technology, innovation, networks and communities, and you literally do not need to look far to see evidence of the way that technology is absolutely echoing the themes of power, transformation and dominance as a result of Pluto’s presence there.

The 2026 Forecast will provide a deeper dive into these themes and trends, but what I’ll say now is that technology is absolutely going to play a major role in our lives over the next two decades, but it will also look absolutely completely different than it does now. It’s not going away, and we need to start finding ways to make peace with that and adapt. But you can bet it’s going to be completely transformed before it finds its new, stronger form.

We are in the 2007/2008 chapter of AI and the internet…a collapse is coming so that a new form can be rebuilt in its place. 2025 is ushering in the Plutonic death and rebirth cycle for technology that 2008 ushered in for “big business”....technology will certainly gain power and influence over the course of this transit, but not before the current paradigm dies out.

More ideas of what this could look like are to come in the full Forecast, but two notes of advice in advance: first, we all need to invest in deeply building - or rebuilding - our IRL networks over the next 6-12 months. And second, look for the picks and shovels, not for the gold.

More to come in the full 2026 forecast.
