// the great creator // the n. node in cancer, Saturn&Pluto in Capricorn, The venus cycle in scorpio, and divine creation in 2019-2020

You can feel it, you know you can. Something big, some massive shift or change, lingering quietly in a dark corner somewhere in your life. You’re perhaps not quite sure what it is, what it looks like, or even exactly where it is. You can’t quite see it yet, but you know you can definitely feel it. And it feels big. It feels life changing. It feels exciting, exhilarating and possibly terrifying and enervating all at the same time.

It’s there, it’s coming. Soon. Maybe this week, maybe next month, maybe next year, maybe in early 2020, maybe even a few years after that. But something big is coming, both individually and collectively. And whatever “it” is is something that’s already inside of you, unique, alive and energized. And under the powerful energies of the great eclipse cycle of 2019-2020, a once-in-a-lifetime cosmic alignment, you are going to be able to manifest this big thing, to bring it out of the darkness of thought and vision and into the light of the physical world…if you’re willing to do the work of creation, undertake the labor pains of new birth, and undergo the profound process of internal transformation required to bring light into matter. It will not be easy, but the end result will be the creation of whatever world you so desire. The choice is entirely yours…and it’s a choice you’re going to need to make, independently and based only on your own internal criteria, in the very near future. We all, both collectively and individually, are being pushed to commit to our own evolution and that of our species, one decision at a time.

Make no mistake about it: this is huge.

North node in Cancer. Saturn and Pluto conjunct on their own planetary south nodes in Capricorn, as well as the transiting lunar south node. All coinciding with an 18-month Venus cycle in creative, transformative, and alchemical Scorpio, and Uranus settled into early degrees in Taurus.

It’s devastating, it’s beautiful, it’s powerful, it’s terrifying, it’s overwhelming, it’s magnificent, it’s impossible to ignore. It’s the end of the old and the beginning of the new.

Beginning with January’s eclipses in Capricorn, continuing with the eclipses in July, and culminating with the massive Saturn-Pluto conjunction in Capricorn in January of 2020, we are witnessing a massive epochal shift that will mark the ending of one major era of human existence, and the subsequent birth of an entirely new one.

Much has already been said about Cancer and Capricorn and their respective roles in this cycle. Most (mine included) reference in some way the removal of restrictions represented by the combination of the karmic south node along with destructive, transformative Pluto, and father time, the karmic task-master Saturn, all together in the often cold, harsh, restrictive sign of Capricorn. This is balanced against the north node, the evolutionary flash point, in fluid, maternal, life-giving Cancer, the source of all life, the origin of consciousness. And indeed, you don’t have to look much past any headline right now to see evidence of this dynamic in play (will table additional comment on current events for now…novels could be written). And while these descriptions and explanations are absolutely valid and very much relevant, we miss the real picture of what’s taking place here unless we dive deep into the more spiritual, more esoteric meanings of these two signs. And what we find when we get there is that this is not just a simple process of endings and beginnings, this is the very foundation of evolution, in real time, in real life, happening now, at this very second, in your life, in my life, in our collective lives, in the life of every single being and object on this planet. There’s no escaping it, there’s no fighting it. All you can do is adapt, evolve, and hang on for the ride.

// evolution irl //

All life begins in the womb that Cancer represents and embodies. Cancer represents where and with whom we feel “at home”, regardless of whether or not this takes place with our actual family in an actual house. Cancer is the mother, the nurturer, the tender of gardens, the life-giver. But as the ruler of the watery, emotional, and fluid fourth house, Cancer is also the source of our very consciousness; what begins in the womb is not just the physical body, but the energy of consciousness itself.

Energy, we learn in thermodynamics, is neither created nor destroyed; it is simply transformed. The process of creating new energy, new life, necessitates the death of something else; it’s a constant recycling process. In this way death is as much a beginning as well as an ending (and I’m Scorpio rising, can’t you tell?). We are all made from stardust, etc, etc.

Capricorn, on the other hand, is the archetypal patriarch, the father, the authority, the professor, the boss. This is a heavy, hard, physical, earth sign, the highest manifestation of earth sign energy, and it’s true that we usually find those with strong Capricorn placements involved in the work of the physical world: these are the business builders, the bankers, the over-achievers, the endurance athletes. Capricorn’s job is to climb, to build, to solidify. Those of us with Capricorn emphasized often get a lot of shit for this, but it’s the energetic imperative of this sign to do so. And this imperative stems not from a need for the outward recognition of success, but because the physical and “material” achievements and success of this sign are not just outward signs of accomplishment, but rather the manifestation of the profound process of internal spiritual initiation that Capricorn represents.

While we rightfully associate Capricorn with the image of the mountain goat, the original constellation (and glyph) was represented as a “sea-goat”, a mythical, hybrid creature, essentially a goat with something of a mermaid tail, an image evocative of evolution itself. In the narrative associated with this image we see a creature that emerges from the sea, adapts to the environment on land, and proceeds to then climb the mountain of spiritual pursuit, reading the summit only after great trial. This is as much trial-by-fire process of adaptation, of overcoming obstacles, of perseverance, as it is one of conquering the physical realm; it is only at the conclusion of this process of initiation, at the summit, that we can see the horizon, can see beyond the obstacles and restrictions that guided us, and can learn the truth of our spiritual process. And once that happens, it’s time to come back down the other side, share what we’ve learned in the process in the form of knowledge and wisdom, and then return to the sea in order to repeat the next iteration. To return to the Cancerian womb of consciousness, and recycle into a new energetic form.

// a karmic rinse and repeat //

Thus the spiritual dance between Cancer and Capricorn we are witnessing is the very dance of evolution. It’s a dance between the imagination and creative force of Cancer, and the physical, constructive manifestation of spirit evidenced by Capricorn, between the nurturing of the formlessness of new energy, and the solidification and concentration of energy into form. And where we find ourselves now, as both individuals and as a collective, is at the point where outdated structures and forms, institutions that may at one time have served to guide and reinforce our evolution quite well, but have now become stale and stagnant and outdated, are being washed away by the watery Cancer north node eclipses, so that new ones can be birthed in it’s place.

As this energetic recycling takes place, we are being encouraged (read: forced) to confront the areas of our individual lives where we are still clinging to structures and laws and norms and objectives that no longer serve our evolution. As the lunar south node, the point representing our collective past karma, meets up with Pluto, the ruler of transformation, along with Saturn, the lord of karma and time himself, in his home sign of Capricorn, we are all being released from a past structure or restriction, a karmic lesson or test, liberating this energy to be recycled and turned into something new.

It’s entirely possible that this process is NOT entirely comfortable; we are witnessing what is essentially a complete collapse of the governing structures of our lives, of those things that we have possibly built up over time, of trust, of security, of longevity. It’s possible that this transit has removed relationships, jobs, careers, homes, and other fixtures of our lives, in many cases painfully so. The karmic lessons imparted by Pluto, Saturn and the south node are HEAVY, and in many cases our spiritual evolution may be fast-tracked through events and circumstances beyond our control, leading us to feel ungrounded, insecure, and isolated. Keep in mind that the way around any discomfort, any struggle, is not to cling to that which has been removed, but rather to begin the process of transmutation, of transformation, of rebirth. See an absence or challenge not as a loss or a negative, but rather as a powerful, magnetic void, a space of creation, a blank canvas, the womb of new life. Even if you don’t know entirely what that new life looks like at this very moment. Form will come, given time. The important part is that the new energy itself is created and nurtured.

// cartesian iteration…just keep moving //

And while July’s total solar lunar eclipse in Cancer is definitely a strong evolutionary imperative away from old structures and towards the birth of this new energy, we absolutely cannot escape the fact that there are currently two outer planets in Capricorn, who will be joined by Jupiter in early December, along with Uranus in Taurus through 2027. What this means is that on the eve of the historic Saturn-Pluto conjunction of January 2020, all but one of the outer planets (Neptune) will be in earth signs. This is real, this is physical; there is absolutely no way around the material aspects of this energy. Energy must be created, but then it must be built into something with form.

Both of the glyphs associated with Cancer and Capricorn involve movement and structure; Cancer, the crab, has a tough outer shell protecting the softness of life inside. It’s movement is fast, instinctual, and defensive, often moving side to side to evade predators, retreating fully into it’s shell in cases where it knows it’s vulnerable. This is important.

Capricorn is the mountain goat, diligent and deliberate, taking one step at a time, then another, then another, then another. When advancement isn’t possible due to an obstacle or a missing ledge, it goes around and finds another path. Undaunted by the height of the mountain, it continues to take step after step until it reaches the summit, building on each gain in altitude, each successful step up, each victory. There is no short cut, there is no quantum leap; this is a climb that must be made step by step.

The same can be said of this new process, this new energy, this divine creation, we are now brining into the world. It it real; it exists in the time and space of our physical and emotional reality. As such, it needs to be protected, nurtured, and fed. Whether this is a new initiative, a new project, a new career, job, relationship, child, etc, we need to make sure that this new energy we are bringing into life is properly protected, much as a sapling needs protection from wind, predators, and the elements. At the same time, the planets in Capricorn demand that we constructively begin to develop this energy, to build something with it, to create something with it in the physical, not just the emotional/spiritual realms. Protection can be life-saving when it’s in the service of growth; but too much can be stifling if it impedes movement or progress.

Both of these signs necessitate movement and action; this movement can be sideways, this action can be protective as much as it is productive, it can be sideways as much as it is vertical. We may need to take two steps back before we can take one step forward. It’s not so much the direction that counts as much as it is the movement. The movement, the action, is what leads to creation. Time-outs and withdrawls in order to process and protect are fine, as long as they’re done in the service of creation.

Keep in mind that obstacles and barriers we all now face are as much spiritual tests designed to help us evolve and grow through perseverance, as they are annoyances and challenges in the physical world; Capricorn demands that we prove something, as much to ourselves as to others. Roadblocks and barriers to progress are most likely opportunities in disguise, meant to spur us to innovate, create a new solution, or find a new path around and forward. Look at any struggles simply as birthing pains rather than as fatal flaws. And just remember that the more you try to cling to something stagnant but secure, toxic but familiar, stable but outdated…the more likely this energy is to shake you out of your complacency vis a vis a challenging situation or event. Lean in, lean out, lean back, go around, go up, go down, go inside. Just make sure you’re moving, creating, evolving, allowing the moment to moment developments to show you where your next step should be, and taking the rest of humanity along with you on your journey.

// what to do //

Like all major aspects and transits, we will see this play out both as a collective, as well as in the more “mundane” realm of our individual lives. It’s not hard to already see the implications on the world stage. As individuals, however, the effects of this transit can vary widely.

A cliche, but an important one: oak trees grow from acorns. The movements you make towards the new, towards evolution, at this time may seem small and innocuous now, but may later prove to be the small seed from which a giant redwood of an idea, project or relationship develops.

Below is a brief description of where in your life you might be able to find the seed of new growth, of where you might find something that seems small, fleeting, and insignificant now, but could later turn into a major source of stability, growth, and endurance in your life. And while much of this may resonate in light of July’s eclipses, with so many planets retrograde, it may be later this fall, or even well into 2020, before the real impacts of these transits start to take shape in your life. Nothing about this energy is short term; it’s best to work with long

Rather than write these in the traditional order, beginning with Aries, I’ve written these in the order of signs likely to be most impacted by the current energies. Sun signs always apply, as do Venus and ascendant/rising signs. But with the north node in Cancer, the ruling sign of the moon, and on the eve of a massively powerful eclipse cycle, you may feel this energy more in terms of your moon sign that any others. But of course feel free to read in any order you see fit.

Remember: you are the great creator of your own life.

// capricorn // s/m/r/v

Yes, starting with you Caps, and before I do, I want you all to just take a pause, to set down the massive weight of the mental, emotional, energetic, financial, professional, and possibly physical load you are carrying, and simply allow yourself to breath, to feel the life flowing through you. You Caps more than any other sign have been THROUGH IT, not just in light of the current eclipse cycle, but even going back to 2008 when Pluto entered your sign and you began fielding squares from Uranus in Aries as well. There has been no rest, no respite, for you for the better part of the last decade, and you have been on your hustle, on your grind, climbing and falling, and climbing and falling again, only to keep getting back up on your feet, whether you’re ready to or not. For many of you this process may have already borne great fruit, and you may be well on your way to the top of whatever mountain you wish to climb. For others, you could find yourself taking that first step up, yet again, in a process of rebuilding, a process of stabilizing after yet another change. We see you Cap: we see your efforts, we see your struggles, we see your successes, whether they be large or small. You are loved, you are appreciated, you are amazing. Unicorns are real, and they are all Capricorns. You are well on your way, even if it seems otherwise; keep going.

The seed of your own personal rebirth this eclipse cycle (and beyond) takes the form of a relationship or contract, something that requires you to balance your own interests, talents, skills, objectives, with those of another. The collection of powerful, transformational energy in your first house of identity and initiative has been challenging you to redefine yourself, likely through the additional responsibility, power, and personal goals or external circumstances that have continually forced you to level up, to find new modes of self-expression, to stretch beyond your limits again and again. And stretch you have. And level-up you have. And now you may find yourself in a position where you want to see the reshaped, transformed, version of yourself reflected in your relationships, your partnerships, and the person you project to the public.

The energy of July’s total solar eclipse is giving you a chance to look around at the people in your life, your partners, the persona you project to the public…what do you see? Do you see the person you still are? Do you see the person you want to become? Are your partnerships, both personal and professional, helping you advance, to evolve, to grow, or are they keeping you stuck in old patterns? This powerful total solar eclipse is giving you a chance to give birth to new patterns of relating with “the other” in your life, possibly through the introduction of a powerful new alliance, a chance meeting, or other opportunity to elevate yourself through a partnership. It’s possible that at first this partnership seems somehow insignificant, impossible, or challenges you to adapt in order to develop…trust it. You may not see the benefits immediately, but something that begins over the next few weeks and months has the potential to change your life forever. Don’t fight your fate Capricorn, and keep climbing.

// aquarius // s/m/r/v

It’s strange, isn’t it, after the rollicking 18 months you had leading into 2109, that all of of a sudden things have seemingly come to a complete halt in many ways. With Pluto, Saturn, and now the lunar south node all together in the depths of your solar 12th house of karma, endings, healing, and all things subconscious, many water bearers may find themselves suddenly out of their element, withdrawn from their normal buzzy role in the public eye, whether by choice or by circumstance.

The current transit is forcing you to do a deep clean on a mental, emotional, physical and even karmic level, all in preparation for the massive new beginning that the universe is going to deliver in just a few short years. Beginning in late 2020 when Saturn and then Jupiter enter your sign, you are going to begin a new phase of life that will be “bigger”, more intense, more high-impact, more high visibility, than even you can imagine. Pluto will follow in 2024, bringing circumstances that will push you forward and into positions of power beyond your wildest dreams. The future, YOUR future, the Aquarian future, is coming sooner than you think, and you’re going to need to be ready. And thus the current alignment of energy. You need to be ready, you need to be 100%, and this eclipse cycle is helping you do that, even if it seems like a struggle in the moment.

The total solar eclipse in your sixth house of health, daily habits, routines, and the way that you manage your day-do-day life, is helping you see where and how you need to optimize your own energies. There’s a strong element of nutrition and lifestyle involved in this aspect; this would be a perfect time to look at ways in which your high-voltage Aquarian energy could be better supported by the daily choices you make, particularly when it comes to your health, both physical and mental. With so much heavy, intense, energy in your 12th house, you may also be doing deep soul healing, exhuming psychic ghosts, and facing the karmic consequences of past actions. This is a tremendous opportunity for healing through any type of therapy, and this is also an ideal time to take care of lingering health issues, make the changes you need to make, and set yourself on more stable footing mentally, physically, and emotionally.

Don’t worry if you feel stuck, if things feel like they aren’t moving, or if you’re finding yourself more behind-the-scenes at this time than you would like. The future that is coming is going to be bigger and better than even your vast, quantum, Aquarian minds can fathom. You need to be ready. Use this time to make sure you are.

// cancer // s/m/r/v

In many ways, this current energy has (or will soon) hit those of your sign more than any other. But you are also the best equipped out of all the signs to deal with whatever the circumstances may bring. This is your game, Cancer, this is your intuitive, sensitive, fluid, and protective arena. Whereas the rest of the signs will be learning how to adapt and evolve, how to respond intuitively rather than by force, how to find a way around rather than trying to struggle through…you will already be way ahead, simply by being who you are, by doing what comes so naturally to you, by following your Cancerian intuition, transforming the energy around you, recycling what is old and stagnant into something new and sustainable. You are the guiding light right now, the source of life, the signpost. And all you need to do is to be yourself.

This does not necessarily mean that this will be easy, however, even if it comes naturally. The universe is pushing you to step into your power, possibly through events or circumstances that seem jarring or challenging in some way. The world needs what you have to give Cancer, and this eclipse cycle is going to push you into a situation where you are forced to do your Cancerian thing and give birth to something new, something uniquely yours, something that is nurturing and life-giving, even if only to you and those around you. And this is likely to make you feel out of your element in some way.

With Capricorn energy making up so much of the dominant world paradigm for most of recent history, your own paradigm has largely been one of following rather than leading, and that is changing…quickly. As the lunar north node along with the planetary nodes in Cancer push the world away from the structure of Capricorn and towards the more feminine, intuitive energy of your sign, so too may you find yourself suddenly pushed into taking more responsibility, into having to lead rather than follow, into having to guide others forward where you have normally only played a supporting role. Now the universe is telling you to take the lead in your life in some major way, and while this may feel foreign and awkward at first, I promise you Cancer…you know how to do this. All you have to do is simply follow that strong inner feeling, that guiding inner voice, throw out any old notions of how things should be done, and just start using your energy in the ways you know are best. What is best for you right now is best for everyone…don’t be afraid to assert your power, even if that looks or feels different than what you’re used to. You know how to plant seeds, you know how to nurture growth, you know how to create new out of the old. It’s your time Cancer. Show us all how it’s done.

// libra // s/m/r/v

Since 2008, you, along with your Cardinal cousins Aries, Cancer, and Capricorn, have faced the non-stop action that kicked off with Pluto in Capricorn and followed with squares to Uranus in Aries. For the better part of the past decade you have been forced to continually rebalance your Libran scales, adjusting and adapting to the massive changes happening on both the collective and individual levels. The shift of Uranus into Taurus has given you a bit of breathing room, taking the pressure off of your relationships, arguably the most important area of your chart. But in the wake of all of the shakeups of the last decade, the energy is now asking that you pause for a moment and re-establish your foundations in light of all of the changes that have taken place over the past decade. And these new foundations you lay may look much different than the ones you’re leaving behind.

The collection of Pluto, Saturn, and the south node in your 4th house of home and foundations is challenging you to let go to old psychic attachments, to outdated subconscious patterning, possibly picked up in childhood or from family members, and to begin building a new lifestyle, a new foundation, that better positions you to truly live the life you want to live, that allows you to truly pursue the goals that are important to you. With Cancer, on your midheaven, there is a strong dynamic for all Libras between home and career, family life and public life, and home and profession (Libra Kim Kardashian comes to mind, as her professional image is strongly tied to the family name, the family success). It’s possibly that this eclipse cycle will present you with an opportunity to break free of a family obligation that in some way holds you back from living the life you want to live. It’s also possible that a relocation or move sets you up for a powerful new professional start. Regardless of the exact circumstances, it’s important in the midst of this energy that you balance your Libra scales in favor of what YOU need, that you prioritize your own emotional needs, your own needs for security, over the goals and objectives of others, that you take care of yourself first, a practice that doesn’t always come naturally to the great diplomats of the zodiac.

This could also mark a powerful new time of psychic transformation for you as well, Libra, and this eclipse may usher in a powerful new opportunity to rebuild your psychic foundations as much as your literal ones. Cancer is the sign of the soul, the source of all consciousness; your career success, your accomplishment, achieving your goals in life is strongly linked to your state of mind, your level of consciousness, the expression of your subconscious programming and patterning. Now may be a time to dive deep into the lived expressions of your subconscious, to rebuild a firmer psychic foundation from which you can begin to build a new life. Don’t think that the smallest shifts in consciousness, in perception, can lead to the biggest changes in your lived experience. The energy of this eclipse cycle is demanding that the actions that you take in your physical, lived, experience come from a healthy, stable, and solid emotional and spiritual foundation. Now is the time to make any necessary changes to make that happen.

// aries // s/m/r/v

Like the other cardinal signs Cancer, Libra, and Capricorn, you rams have been in the spotlight in a big way for the better part of the past decade. Not only did Pluto’s shift into Capricorn in 2008 begin to bring down the walls around your career and sense of position in the world, but Uranus’s transit through your sign through last year put you in the spotlight in a major way for the better part of seven years. Not that the spotlight is an uncomfortable place for an Aries to be, but in many ways you’ve had to destroy much of what’s been considered stable in your own life in order to sustain its growth. You’ve had to reignite that spark of life many times over the course of the past few years, and while no one can take off in a new direction like an Aries can, it’s still true that this may have left you feeling as though you were running on empty at times.

Now, much like your opposite sign of Libra, the universe is asking that you take a moment to ensure that, in the wake of so many shifts and changes, that the foundations of your life are solid and stable. The collection of heavy energy in your tenth house is challenging you to let go of attachments to authority, to release allegiance to the old order of power that may once have governed your life, and to turn your attention to creating something new, to start from scratch, to go back to the source. This eclipse in your 4th house of home, family, and subconscious patterning is bringing something out of the depths of your subconscious and into the light so you can face it, confront it, and deal with it. In order to move any farther along your forward Aries trajectory you need to ensure that your actions in the physical world are fully aligned with the needs of your emotional and subconscious foundations.

There’s no doubt that the Saturn-Pluto conjunction in January of 2020 has the potential to cement a major professional gain Aries, likely one that’s been a long time in the making. But this gain is not going to come by adhering to tradition or by fitting into to any external definitions or molds. This is going to be made entirely by following your own path, by taking your own route, but doing what comes naturally rather than forcing an uncertain fit. As the eclipse cycle hits across the personal and professional axis of your chart, take the opportunity to let go of fear, responsibilities, and obligations that keep you tied to old ways of being, and dive deep into your own emotional being, your own sense of consciousness, your roots, your foundations, your home, as it will be the true source of your power going forward.

// leo // s/m/r/ v

Much like Aquarius (and Taurus), you may be feeling a bit of whiplash after such a highflying 2017-2018. With the north node in your sign during this time, and a supportive trine from both Saturn in Sagittarius through 2017 as well as Uranus in Aries for the better part of the last decade, your energy, initiative, and fiery Leo pride was supported in a big way. You underwent a major evolutionary process during this time, possibly challenging but undoubtedly positive, however that may have looked in your own life, and now, as the Cancer eclipse lights up your 12th house of solitude and endings, it’s time to pull back just a bit and take stock of what needs to stay and what needs to leave in light of your quantum leaps of the past few years. Evolution is never easy, and it’s possible that the events and circumstances of the past few years that led to massive growth in your life have also left you feeling a little bit destabilized and depleted. The total solar eclipse, as important for the sun-ruled Leo as it is for the moon-ruled Cancer, is offering you the opportunity to step out of the spotlight for a moment, and take a moment to pause, to collect yourself, to clear out your psychic closet so that you can reap the rewards of the karmic gains of the last few years, not only now but well into the massive future that’s unfolding for you.

Beginning in late 2020, when Saturn and then Jupiter enter your 7th house of the other, of public image, and of public relations, you and your image are going to take center stage again in a major way. Pluto will follow a few years later, catapulting both you and your opposite sign of Aquarius into the public stage in ways you can’t even imagine. At the same time, Uranus, ruler of your 7th house, will be transiting Taurus, another fixed sign, your 10th house of status, career, and goals. Relationships, contracts, partnerships, and all manner of interactions with the public and with the others in your life are going to become a major area of focus of your life in the near future and for many years to come after that. Now is the time to take stock of what you’ve learned over the past few years, and to let go of those things that you won’t be taking forward with you. It’s possible that attachments to routine, to certain unhealthy habits - physical, emotional, and mental - are holding you back from forward progress, and are in need of a complete overhaul. For the lions, the apex predators of the zodiac, your mental and emotional strength is just as important as your physical health and wellbeing, and now is the time to reinforce these areas of your life, even if it feels as though your burning inner fire has been temporarily extinguished.

A massive new chapter in your life is coming, one that’s bigger and better than even your lofty Leo visions of grandeur, but you need to be ready. Slow down now in order to speed up later, make sure you are taking with you only those things that you need, that represent the future that you want to have, that will help get you where you’re going, and not just reflect where you’ve been.

// scorpio // s/m/r/v

You’re not doing too bad in the midst of all of this Scorpio, and if you don’t see it that way, it’s not because things are objectively challenging right now, (which, don’t get me wrong, they very well may be) it’s because the universe is challenging you to completely overhaul your perspective and how you see, connect, interact and generally view the world around you. This is not to say that the past few years have been easy for Scorpio, or that every Scorpio right now is feeling themselves…chances are you’ve had to undergo a major Scorpionic transformation over the last 18 months, with Jupiter in your sign and the eclipse series in Leo and Aquarius lighting up the backbone of your chart. Now you are given a chance to finish the work that began in 2017 when the south node eclipse in Aquarius, your Cancer-ruled 4th house, led to radical shifts in your consciousness and your awareness of your subconscious and programmed patterns. Now, as the nodal axis lights up the axis of the mind, perception, and higher knowledge in your chart, you will begin to see the ways in which consciousness, perception, and the mind truly create the world around you, and not vice-versa.

Yours is the sign of power, a financial sign, a sign that seeks to transform vis a vis possession. With the Venus cycle currently in your sign, and Uranus now well into his transit of your opposite sign of Taurus, your powers of alchemy and transformation are going to be front and center now and into the coming decade. But your ability to transform largely has to do with your ability to see beyond the physical value of a thing, a situation, a person, and to see the inherent potential, the possibility, the strategic opportunities, that a given situation may contain. And once you see this possibility it’s your job as a Mars-ruled Scorpio to apply your alchemical energies to bring about that transformation. It’s water into wine, trash into treasure, and no one can do this like Scorpio. Provided, that is, that you are able to see the potential in the first place, that you are able to conceptualize that alchemical shift, to identify the strategic opportunity in the first place. And that’s not possible if you’re stuck in old ways of seeing, in old ways of connecting, in old ways of thinking about the world around you.

As the world at large undergoes this sea change, this massive epochal shift, we need you, Scorpio, to see our potential. We need you to be able to visualize and explain to us where we may be stuck in old ways of seeing, to be able to light up the path forward through the global transformation facing the world, alchemizing the old into the new, and brining new value into being. Saturn, Pluto, and the south node in your third house of the mind and communication is suggesting that it’s time to let go of old thought patterns, old ways of communicating, even of outdated ideas about power, and allow the Cancerian north node in your 9th house to show you the way forward into a more enlightened, more productive, more life-sustaining way of being. Expanding your mind through formal education may be warranted, but this could also simply mean exploring new philosophical frameworks, new truths, new spiritual bases for approaching the world, all so you can see the new possibilities, so you can perceive the value hidden in the midst of the challenges.

The bottom line: if you’re not liking what you’re seeing in your life right now, it’s not a matter of changing what you’re seeing, but rather how you’re seeing it. Look again: there’s an opportunity that’s sitting right in front of you, a proverbial gold mine within arms reach, provided you’re willing and ready to change the way you’re thinking about it. PS: if you’re still not seeing it, find a Taurus or a Cancer (sun/moon/rising), and maybe keep them around for the next few years. They have have the antenna you need.

// taurus // s/m/r/v

Out of the frying pan and into the fire bulls, as the relief of finally breaking free of Uranus in Aries, your 12th house of endings, dissolution, solitude, and spirituality, has now given way to the shock of Uranus in your first house, a transit that promises to completely shake up your life, your identity, and your entire way of being over the next seven years. In many ways, the universe is asking you to step up in a big way, pushing you out of the darkness of the 12th house shadows and into the glare of the 1st house spotlight, a dramatic, whiplash-inducing shift, and one you may not be entirely ready for. But that’s only in your mind. In reality, you were born to do this, and this eclipse cycle is going to give you a chance to claim your Tauruean value, to claim your birthright, and to step up and speak the life that you desire into being.

Taurus rules the throat, the voice, the source of all manifestation. Your second house is ruled by Gemini, the natural ruler of the third house, which brings us to Cancer, your third house, where this months powerful total solar eclipse takes place. After years of sitting in the shadows, of biding your time, of having to, at times, part with much of your much-loved stability, you have been able to watch, to observe, and you can now see where old truths about that stability, about power, about what is truly of value, are no longer relevant. The combination of Pluto, Saturn, and the south node in your 9th house of truth, expansion, and higher knowledge have led to a profound and transformative change in your philosophical outlook and the way you view the truth. You are a sign that values the stability that Capricorn provides; and yet those old systems and structures are crumbling, and now you are likely being put in a position to redefine what true value is in light of these shifts.

The eclipse in your third house sextiling Uranus in your sign is urging you to speak up, to use your voice, to share with us your new truth in light of the dramatic changes in our midst. There is a story you need to tell, there are words you need to share, there is a situation in close proximity that needs your voice and your value. It’s these words and this voice that is going to be instrumental in bringing about the birth of a new reality, to help recycle the stagnant energy of the old and transform it into something new. Don’t feel duty bound to adhere to old, outdated philosophical and educational frameworks. Speak what you know, speak what you see, speak your truth. The rest will unfold naturally. It’s time to bring out that bull in a china shop I know is coiling up like a spring inside all of you…any minute now…

Roar.

And finally, the mutable signs, who after a wild period between 2016 and 2017, have taken a bit of a back seat to their Cardinal and Fixed cousins over the past few months and years. With Saturn leaving Saj for Capricorn, and the nodes shifting out of your ruling 12th/6th house axis, you should feel as though the pressure has subsided just a bit, at least for the time being. Still, the heaviness of Saturn, Pluto and the south node in Capricorn, your 5th house of self-expression, has put a major damper on all things fun, exciting and expressive lately in your life Virgo, as the planets are urging you to find new ways of expressing yourself, freed from the restrictions you may have felt in the past. The north node and total solar eclipse in Capricorn is opening up a new beginning where all things friends, networks, wishes, and alliances are concerned; it’s possible that a long-held wish will come true, likely owing to a friend or someone in your extended network. Virgos, despite their general amazingness and ability to overcome any obstacle, are often notoriously hard on themselves, which can often lead to a level of self-confidence that doesn’t always reflect the truth about your value, Virgo. Having Saturn and Pluto in your house of confidence, pride, and self-expression probably doesn’t help this situation. At the same time, you’re given a rare opportunity to rebuild, remake, and re-establish a new identity, a new mode of self-expression, likely one with greater authority, greater impact, and greater power than you’ve ever thought possible.

Somewhere in the world is a group, network, or organization that needs your leadership, your vision, your impeccable execution, your presence, and over the coming weeks this new network or alliance may become clear. However, in order to maximize the impact that you can have as a leader of this community, you need to radically reconstruct your own sense of self identity and self-expression to match the new power of leadership potential that this group sees in you. It’s time to leave behind the days of hiding behind the scenes, of ceding power in order to get the job done, of doing more for less because you know you can and because you know that others need your help. They do need your help Virgo, but it’s time that you value how much help you actually provide, and what that’s truly worth.

The current energy is forcing Virgos to step into their power, to really embrace your true leadership potential, to solidify your leadership potential and not just your service potential, giving you the power to truly light the way for others in a community or organization, and in doing so, making a major life wish or goal come true in the process.

// sagittarius // s/m/r/v

Sagittarius has fielded a lot over the past few decades, first with the transit of Pluto through your sign through 2008, then with Saturn’s transit from 2015-2018. Finally, this year, your ruling planet Jupiter, ruler of all things expansive and optimistic, is transiting your sign alone, without either of the malefics, giving you a chance to get your groove back after years under fire. Yes, it’s true that this Jupiter transit is facing squares from dreamy and nebulous Neptune in Pisces, possibly leading to a sense of illusion (or dissolution). With both planets happy and operating at their highest expression in their home signs, however, it’s more likely that this illusion takes the form of inspiration, and that the current transits find you sitting in pretty good shape, even if still possibly recovering from Saturn’s transit of your sign. Now in comes this massive, life-altering eclipse cycle across the the financial axis of your chart, and in it’s path you are asked to radically redefine your values, your own sense of self-worth, and examine your own relationship to the physical and material world in light of the many changes that may have taken place in your life over the past few years.

This should be nothing new…with Saturn, the ruler of Capricorn, your second house of earned income, values and self-worth, having spent the better part of 2015-2018 touring your sign, you were forced to examine your own sense of worth, value, and those things you value in others. The earthy, stable, groundedness of the second house is not a particularly exciting area of life for the expansive, fiery, and adventurous Saj, who would rather take the money and run than adhere to the pragmatism and discipline demanded by a Saturn-ruled second house. And this Saturn transit may have left you feeling a bit weighed down or left out in the cold financially. And with Pluto, Saturn and the south node all resident now in this same area of your chart, the answer to your problems, the relief you may be seeking, should you constantly be coming up a dollar late and a day short, is being lit up by the beautiful total solar eclipse in your 8th house of investments, transformation, and alchemy. The answer is to be found not in trying to acquire more, but in using what you already have, using you incredibly potent Saj energy to transform your existing assets, skills, relationships, etc, into something even greater.

The 8th house is naturally ruled by Scorpio, another water sign, and the sign through which your ruling planet Jupiter spent the better part of last year. With the heavy water emphasis at play, it’s possible that there’s something emotional that needs to be cleared, released, processed, acknowledged, or harnessed in order to truly capitalize on the transformational power of this energy. The powerful life-giving consciousness of Cancer combined with the energy of rebirth represented by the 8th house suggests that there’s a tremendous amount of power to use your emotions and intuition to radically reshape something of value in your life. This is a wholly internal process; everything you need is already inside of you. The challenge for you dear Saj, is to figure out how to use these resources, how to use that Saj heat on your fluid 8th house to generate steam that propels you forward financially. The structures and stability that used to support you financially is all but gone Saj, and it’s time to create new models of wealth and value in your life. It’s time for you to turn inward, to use your regenerative energies, your optimism, your life force, to create something new out of nothing. If anyone can do it Saj it’s you.

// gemini // s/m/r/v

A mutable air sign, you are by far the most flexible and adaptable of the zodiac, untethered, flexible, and light. The heavy water and earth energies at the moment probably are not your favorites by any means, but as the consummate energetic gymnast of the zodiac, you’re also totally fine shape-shifting and adapting to whatever the situation demands of you. And as the heavy concentration of energy in Capricorn brings down structures, paradigms of stability, and age old institutions, you may find yourself enjoying the show and wondering what all the fuss is about. And it’s your consummate flexibility and adaptability during this period of great change that will prove invaluable to those around you, as the eclipse cycle lights up your 2nd house of earned income, shining a bright - and lucrative - light on your ability to roll with the punches and maneuver with agility around the obstacles and challenges along the way.

While Cancer is a cardinal water sign, and thus ostensibly out of sync with your mutable air nature, upon further inspection you and the crab have more in common than would first seem evident. You are both highly mobile signs, prone to direction changes that seem to be impulsive to outsiders but make perfect sense to you. Your agility is something that can serve the creative Cancerian energies well during this energy cycle, as you’re able to bring new information, new ideas, new connections to the table at a time when progress and evolution depends on finding new paradigms around which we can build new structures. It’s important in this process that you recognize your own value, and not sell yourself short due to a sense of old power systems or relationships slipping away. With Jupiter in your 7th house through the end of this year you can bet that your value is clear in the eyes of those around you, and that there’s great power in combining forces with others to generate something new.

Don’t be afraid Gem to let go of old, outdated allegiances to power, to structures, to institutions. They’re done. It’s now time to do what you do best, to do what you love most, and to live entirely in the moment, nimble, agile, jumping from idea to idea, talking, sharing, connecting your way into the future minute to minute. Not only will you enjoy it, but you will also enjoy the financial rewards that seem to fall in your lap simply by being yourself.

// pisces // s/m/r/v

Gentle, fluid Pisces…Neptune is in your sign squaring Jupiter in Saj…show of hands, how many of you even noticed the eclipse? How many of you even noticed this email? How many of you know what day it is? Chances are you are so deep in your Piscean flow, so into your process, feeling so expansive and creative and powerful, that you’ve hardly noticed much else. It’s actually a really great time to be a Pisces, not that it ever really isn’t.

I can think of no better way to illustrate your current advantage than to use a real story, one that happened just yesterday: a young Piscean (3/13) tennis player from Atlanta named Cori Gauff was granted a wild card to the play the qualifying matches at the Wimbledon tennis tournament in London. At 15, this would be her first time even receiving a wild card to play in a grand slam, and one of her first tournaments she has ever played seeded as a pro and not as a junior. She went on to win not just one, but two qualifying matches, allowing her entry into the main draw, where her first opponent would be none other than Venus Williams, five-time Wimbledon champion, more than twice her age at 39, and her life long role model. In two sets, playing a flawless, aggressive, and inspired game, 15 year old Gauff beat Venus Williams, one of the most decorated tennis players in history. In a truly humble and inspired (and tearful) post-match interview, Gauff said she just stayed focused on her game (north node solar eclipse in the 5th house of games), tried not to think about anything else (Neptune in Pisces), and in doing so she was able to topple the old order of power (south node in Capricorn), and cement her own newly-earned dominance in the tennis community (Saturn and Pluto in 11th house of groups, friends, and networks).

There’s very little I can add to that story Pisces. Stay in your flow. Believe in yourself. Don’t listen to anything - anything - negative. You have a winning hand right now, even if it just looks like a wild card at first. Play every point, hit every ball, take every opportunity. Stay in your flow, stay in your flow, stay in your flow.
